30 Slowest Growing Jobs

job-decrease-600If you’re looking for a slam dunk of a career where finding your first job and new jobs after that come easy, then you may want to reconsider beginning a career in any of the professions on this list of slowest growing jobs.

Each of these careers has a job growth rate less than 10% which means that between 2014 and 2024, the number of jobs in that career will decrease by at least 10% according to the BLS.gov. Ten percent was the minimum chosen, but some of the jobs on this list have growth rates in the negative 20+ percentage range. The lowest is actually under negative 40%!

If you look through the list you’ll see several postal service jobs.  These jobs are experiencing a massive decline due to the increase in electronic mail and other forms of communication.
